Although there is a free version of SketchUp, there is also a Pro version which is typically a product for which schools must pay. The SketchUp Pro Statewide K Licensing Grant is now being offered to all states within the USA who want to provide an opportunity for their public schools to use this valuable tool, at no cost. SketchUp Pro is used in many K subject areas , from math and science, to computer technology and English, to pre-architecture and engineering classes. Elementary, middle, and high schools all use it to various extents. Each school must apply separately for a license. Each school request for a license should be completed and submitted by the person in the district who is authorized to request and install software. Teachers use this versatile 21st century learning tool across grade levels and subject areas to bring the power of 3D visualization into learning activities.
License types and pricing License types and pricing We offer several types of licensing for SketchUp, including; Classic License and Subscription. The Classic License creates a local license file which checks in with our server for authentication and can be one of 3 types; Single-user, Network and Enterprise. The Subscription relies on a Trimble ID to sign in to the software and authenticate.
You can use SketchUp Pro with a single-user license or buy sketchup license for mac network license. A single-user license works on up to two computers. You may want to download SketchUp Pro to both your desktop and laptop computers. As long as your computers are compatible with SketchUp Proyour single-user license works on two computers.
